We celebrate Advent by... 

... increasing my visits to the Adoration chapel; continue spiritual reading; use my Mass journal with regularity; making an effort to be more virtuous; all while anticipating the celebration of Christmas!

... With a Jesse Tree. Holy Heroes has great kits, but this year, we read the Bible verses as laid out by Loyola Press.

... lighting the appropriate candles of our dinner table Advent wreath before we pray our dinner prayer. Also, during dinner, we read a page from the kids Bible devotional, which has food-for-thought questions to chat about God and living a Christian life. We also choose some friends or family and go leave some surprises or treats on their doorstep anonymously, to spread Joy.

... reading one chapter of St. Luke a day beginning on Dec. 1st. (St. Luke's Gospel is 24 chapters.) On Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, we'll know what, and why we celebrate Christmas.
