METAL (Men Emboldened by Truth & Authentic Living) seeks to form men towards a more profound understanding of their God-given dignity through study in small group communities of faith and friendship. Rooted in the teachings of the Church, Metal affirms the intrinsic dignity of men and empowers them to fulfill our culture’s desperate need for an authentic masculine presence in every aspect of life and society. 

Metal attracts men of all ages, races, nationalities, and vocations and brings them together to encounter the Catholic intellectual tradition, sometimes for the very first time, and learn how to recognize, cultivate and live the fullness of their masculine genius in their families, workplaces, and communities.

At St. Luke, we kicked-off the Metal program on October 19th, but have no fear; you may join us at any time as we delve into the 12-part series "Into the Breach" based on the Apostolic Exhortation of Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted of the Diocese of Phoenix.

Into the Breach is a groundbreaking 12-episode video series from the Knights of Columbus that seeks to answer what it means to be a Catholic man in today’s world. Inspired by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted’s apostolic exhortation to Catholic men, Into the Breach tells men they are made for greatness and challenges them to achieve it by founding their lives on God and pursuing heroic virtue. Each episode explores a different aspect of authentic Catholic masculinity and features well-known Catholic speakers, as well as the personal story of a man who has deeply experienced the episode’s topic in his own life. Speakers include Dr. Scott Hahn, Fr. Mike Schmitz, Jason Evert and many others. The episodes can be used for individual personal enrichment and for group discussion.
