Our Sacred Servers are those individuals who serve at the Altar at Mass, as well as help set-up and prepare for liturgies as Sacristans and MCs. The Sacred Servers are very much in need of a leader to help communicate amongst the servers, coordinate scheduling, and help coordinate special fun events. Funerals are such an important part of our parish ministry, and we tend to have so many of them. We have so many wonderful sacristans that help the family once they arrive for the funeral liturgy itself. However, we are very much in need of someone who can lead the communication with our grieving families, help gather paperwork, and also assist families in preparing for the funeral of their loved ones. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
Each year, we hold a brunch for those in our "90+ Club" - those amazing parishioners who have lived 90+ years on this earth. We like to spoil them, feed them, and celebrate them. Until now, our office staff has done all the organization and preparation for this event; but we are in need of someone to help lead this event and coordinate a team with them to keep the goodness going! The leader of this event should be able to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate the details of our 90's Club Brunch. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
Couples events are an opportunity for couples to grow in their relationship with Christ together. A speaker and/or prayer experience will lead the hour-long event. Ideally, local businesses would be contacted to provide discounted meals to any St. Luke couple that evening; this would further deepen our relationship with local restaurants. There should be two couples events each year. The following is a proposed schedule of these events:
2024 FEBRUARY - Marriage & Fruits of the Holy Spirit
2024 AUGUST - Marriage & Gifts of the Holy Spirit
2025 FEBRUARY - Marriage & the Sacraments of Initiation

2026 FEBRUARY - Marriage: For Better & For Worse
2026 AUGUST - Marriage: In Sickness & in Health

These service events could be on-campus, at an elderly or ill parishioner’s home, in the local neighborhood, or anywhere. Ideally these will occur twice each year:
(1) July
(2) December

CHALLENGE is a youth ministry program that has proven to be successful in forming young women with a deeper faith. We're looking to form a group for girls and their mothers. CHALLENGE provides an opportunity for girls to grow in knowledge and love for their Catholic faith, so as to know and love:
CHRIST with real friendship
The CHURCH and the POPE with loyalty
MARY as a son or daughter
All PERSONS with charity & respect
There is a structured, flexible curriculum, with themes following the Church seasons: Ordinary Time, Advent, Lent and Easter. Service projects are also built into the curriculum. These projects involve weekly preparation and then carrying out the service as a group. The projects are imagined and put into place by the girls and their moms. This enhances the opportunity for small group mentoring & peer ministry.
Adult leaders work with the youth leaders to form and mentor them. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
